AP 3D Art and Design Course

AP 3D Art and Design is an inquiry-based approach to creative practice and methodology. Students will investigate materials, processes, and concepts in three-dimensional projects that respond to a series of creative prompts. In doing so, students will develop analog and digital 3D modeling skills that will allow them to create, explore, and communicate their work. By the end of the course, students will have produced a portfolio of work that will showcase their unique interests and can be submitted for College Board.

The successful completion of AP 3D Art and Design will allow students to:

  • Effectively communicate critical thinking, process and vision for creative projects
  • Effectively engages with creative process through iteration, refinement and critique
  • Develop a collection of creative work driven by a sustained investigation for their portfolio
