AP Physics 1

AP Physics 1

AP Physics 1 is highly recommended for any student looking to be admitted to STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) programs in a prestigious university or college. A good score in AP Physics requires a strong understanding of high school math courses and physics courses. A score of 5 in AP Physics is a strong indicator that the student has strong numerical skills and bodes well for any university application to STEM programs.

AP Physics 1 is separated into five different sections, namely:

  • Newtonian Mechanics;
  • Electricity and Magnetism;
  • Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Physics;
  • Waves and Optics; and
  •  Atomic and Nuclear Physics.

Course Content

  • Unit 1: Kinematics
  • Unit 2: Dynamics
  • Unit 3: Circular Motion and Gravitation
  • Unit 4: Energy
  • Unit 5: Momentum
  • Unit 6: Simple Harmonic Motion
  • Unit 7: Torque and Rotational Motion

For those students new to learning science subjects such as AP Physics 1, studying in a large group can be rather difficult.

One-to-one and small group tutoring is much preferred by many students to help them focus and learn more effectively, plus improving the student’s chances of future academic success.
